In today's world of mass-produced supplements, where profit often trumps purity, Puramins emerged from my personal journey of discovery and a commitment to doing things differently. I believe that quality supplementation isn't just helpful in our modern, stressful, nutrient-depleted world – it's vital.
Yet finding truly pure, effective supplements shouldn't require compromising on quality or settling for unnecessary additives.
A Personal Journey
Some years ago, a health problem led me to look more closely at nutrition and supplementation. I spent a great deal of time reading research papers, books and other evidence-based sources, trying to understand not just what to take, but why.
As I began comparing supplements more closely, I found some good options, but few that combined everything I was looking for: carefully chosen ingredients, clear dosages, high manufacturing standards and no unnecessary additives.
After speaking with experienced supplement manufacturers, I realised it was possible to create products that met those standards. That idea eventually became Puramins: supplements I would trust to take myself and give to my family and friends.
What's in a Name?
When choosing a name, I wanted something that reflected the idea at the heart of the brand: purity.
Puramins combines the Spanish word for pure with vitamins, reflecting our focus on carefully chosen ingredients and formulations without unnecessary extras.
What began simply as a name has become a useful reminder of the standard behind every product we create.
Setting New Standards
From the outset, the aim was to make deliberate choices about every part of the product, even when those choices were more difficult or more expensive.
Our supplements are made in the UK by experienced supplement specialists in ISO Class 8 clean rooms.
We formulate without magnesium stearate, unnecessary fillers or flow agents.
We choose premium pullulan capsules for their exceptional oxygen-barrier properties.
And every finished batch is independently tested by a UKAS-accredited laboratory against relevant product specifications.
These are small details individually, but together they define the standard we want Puramins to represent.
Independently Owned
Puramins is independently owned, with no outside investors or shareholders. That gives us the freedom to make decisions around what we believe is right for the product, rather than what is cheapest or easiest.
Some of those choices cost more and take more time, but independence means we can keep the standards that matter to us.
